Description
Florence Price (1887-1953) studied organ and piano at the New England Conservatory of Music, one of the only music institutions of the time that admitted Black students. Fall Concert Nov. 15, 2022. Staller Center for the Arts, Stony Brook University. The University Orchestra, conducted by Susan Deaver, is an all-student ensemble featuring undergraduate music majors/minors as well as non-music majors at Stony Brook University. It presents a concert series each season at Staller Center and has performed a full range of major orchestral repertoire.
