At the age of 14, this boy left his home and went on to become India’s biggest music artist.

That boy was **Kailash Kher**.

His father was also a traditional folk singer, so Kailash grew up surrounded by music and had a natural talent for it from a young age.

But to pursue his dream of making music, he left his home at just 14 years old.

To support himself, he took on various jobs and even taught music to kids for ₹150 per session.

In 1999, he started an export business with a friend.

However, the business suffered heavy losses, wiping out all his savings.

This plunged him into depression, and he even attempted to take his own life.

Fortunately, he overcame that dark phase of his life and decided to give his dream another chance. This time, he moved to Mumbai to pursue music.

After years of struggle, in 2006, he released his song **"Allah Ke Bande"**.

The song became a massive hit, opening doors to more opportunities. Kailash went on to release several other famous songs and won numerous awards, including the **Padma Shri**, one of India’s highest civilian honors.
